Friday Hunt, 2016.2-6

It is Friday, and the day for a favorite meme, Friday Hunt, kindly hosted by Teresa. The examples have been noted and the photo archives checked and I am ready:

Starts with E. I have three unique examples that exemplify the letter. On top is a Villers family pic, that being Easter Sunday 1969, and we lived in East Hartford, CT (check out the styles of the day, especially the hair :)
A ‘gunsight’ fender ornament on a 1959 Edsel Corsair - in 1960, its failure caused Ford Motor Co. to lose $250 million, about $2.3 billion (!) in today's money...
Another example, an Egg in the shape of an Elipse
Week's Favorite, which is groundhog that found our patio in this grainy pic (taken though a window and screen). Why he/she was in a suburban neighborhood? Perhaps lured by our mulberry tree…
Bounce. This is an inflatable bounce house/slide at a June street fair in our neighbor to the north, Seymour CT. These items made for another great hunt this week!

  1. Hey Ralph, next week you could use your "shiny" Edsel shot. The Edsel was ugly in its day, I wouldn't mind one today. Bounce away!

  2. I love groundhogs - they are cute rodents. I had one visit my house in NJ regularly. He (she?) came to eat the bird seed I had out. I name it Hector. Hector got quite plump.

  3. For a rodent (shudder), the groundhog is quite cute.

  4. Love the Edsel...never knew that about them. And ground hogs are ok as long as they stay out of my yard...and love the bouncy...if we had one that big, I think I would go on it!

  5. Great family shot - that was 6 days before the day I was born. I love the groundhog - I had one visit here not so long ago too. Really cute little critters!

  6. Those bounce houses are so popular! Looks like a young ground hog. Hopefully, it decided to move back to the country and not dig around your foundation. I have to say, my chickens have never laid an egg with EH imprinted on it. They are such slackers. LOL Love the classic '60s fashion! Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Have a great week!

  7. I remember that hair-everyone in hubby's yearbook wore their hair like that. Mine, being curly, never looked the same on both sides.
