Shadow Shot Sunday - Autumnal Scenes

The sights of Autumn are lovely, although the sky is grayer, the temps colder - but the colors on the Derby CT green were pretty lively two weeks ago. The church is the Second Congregational Church of Derby, whose peaked steeple was toppled during Hurricane Gloria in 1985. The small-town scene contains a shadow or two, and we look at the red and gold foliage knowing that is no more on the trees. Nice views while they lasted...

  2. I love the classic look of this, although the church looks like it lost its steeple!

  3. The Autumn colours are so lovely in contrast with the stark white of the church building. Beatiful street scene.

  4. Beautiful. I always liked the autumn colors but sad when we had months of bare trees.
