Friday Hunt, 2016-23

It is Friday and time again for Teresa's fun meme Friday Hunt. We are given the clues and we look high and wide for pics that match. I think that I have!

Starts with 'W'. I have two, the left being the 1940 Whitestone Bridge, over the East River between Bronx and Queens NYC. To the right is the 1931 George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River between Manhattan and New Jersey.I've used pics of bothnumber of posts, but just love driving these 1930-40s soaring suspension bridges, although I leave the photo taking to the passenger :)

Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, I-678 South. Taken Oct.2014
George Washington Bridge, I-95 South. Taken August 2000

Week's Favorite: This is the entrance to the Derby Greenway which goes alongside the Naugatuck River. It looks so nice who wouldn't want to take a stroll?

Rough: I suppose that this view is more hard than rough, but the rocks along the banks of the Housatonic River in Shelton CT. I could make for a rough landing, although the ducks don't seem to mind...

  1. Love both brisge and yes I would like to take a strollat the Derby Greenway. Hope you will pop in to see mine, (published yesterday). Have a wonderful week ahead.

  2. Derby Greenway looks like a very pleasant spot for a rest, a walk, or just a photo snapping outing. Have a great weekend!

  3. Nice bridges, wise to take a photographer with you! Looks like a great place for a stroll, I can just smell the fresh air. No, the ducks don't seem to care, they just sail on their merry way.

  4. I've never heard of the Whitestone Bridge, well there a bunch of things that I've never heard of.

  5. The bridges are great. I certainly would love to go for a walk in Derby Greenway. Very nice. Love the ducks. The rocks certainly do look rough. Thank you so much for joining in Friday's Hunt. Have a great week ahead.

  6. How majestic those bridges look! And the garden, I think I could spend all day there watching those cute ducks...
